I took Introduction to Computer Science my junior spring, which was a class I was dreading taking for a long time. And yet, I learned that I actually really enjoyed the structured way of thinking that CS requires. Coding was yet another digital tool that I thought was completely out of my wheelhouse, but turns out to be a tool I am capable of using. The basic knowledge of coding that I’ve gained had broadened my view of the digital, and has made it easier to communicate across disciplines.
I also had fun with my final project! I took the twine story that I created in Bringing the English Past to (Virtual) Life and converted it to a text-based narrative in python, adding another way to interact with the material.
