This page is dedicated to the work I did both as a part of my work with Professors Susannah Ottaway and Austin Mason on the Virtual Workhouse Project and work with the Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse Museum in general.
The first iteration of work was in the class Bringing the English Past to (Virtual) Life, which focused on teaching the history of workhouses in England along with working with Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse Museum to produce content that they could use in their museum. A blog of that class along with digitized copies of workhouse records can be found here.
I was later able to travel with some of my peers and Susannah to do some research in the Norfolk Records Office and with Gressenhall. A summary of our experiences can be found in the Humanities Center Student Research Booklet.
