Witness to the Revolution is an ongoing project led by Professors Austin Mason and Serena Zabin to portray the Boston Massacre in an interactive format. The chosen format of the project is a video game. Based in Serena’s research, this project allows the player to interact with individual witnesses to hear about their various depositions based on the existing historical record. The goal of the game is for players to realize that the accounts of shooting vary wildly, and talking to different sets of people will give different impressions of what happened. My personal contributions to the project focus on the research side, providing and compiling source material to incorporate into the game, focusing mostly on building information.
